Description:

Hello on this Friday the 13 day of July. I'm Rebecca Field with a UPI entertainment update. The Beckham's are now settling into their new home. U.S. Soccer star David Beckham and former Posh Spice, Victoria arrived last night with their children. They were reportedly greeted by a swarm of media, who apparently had been waiting at the Los Angeles airport since Wednesday morning. David is set to join L.A.'s Galaxy Soccer team soon...with his first game on July 21. The family will also appear in an NBC special "Victoria Beckham: Coming to America," airing on July 16. Miss New Jersey Amy Polumbo is holding on to her crown. Pageant officials decided yesterday she can keep her title...even after they received racy photos of her from an unknown sender. The pictures show Polumbo drinking and partying. The beauty queen apologized for the controversy the photos caused and thanked the officials for their decision. Polumbo says she's excited to resume her duties as Miss New Jersey. The Los Angeles Sheriff Department is investigating allegations that Paris Hilton got perks while in jail. Jail guards reportedly say the hotel heiress was treated much better than other inmates while serving her time for violating probation in a reckless driving case. Hilton allegedly got special phone and mail privileges and access to clean jail uniforms. The internal affairs bureau is handling that investigation. Actress Ali Landry is a new mom. People magazine says she and husband director Alejandro Gomez Monteverde welcomed a baby girl on Wednesday. Her name is Estela. Estela and her Mom are doing great. Landry recently appeared in a film titled "Bella" which was produced, written and directed by Monteverde. The couple married in Mexico in 2006. Another former "American Idol" contestant is headed for the big screen. Katherine McPhee has reportedly signed on to appear in a new film to be made by Adam Sandler's Happy Madison Productions. The singer will apparently play a sorority girl in the comedy, which hasn't been named yet. McPhee will co-star with actress Anna Faris. Other former "Idols" who have made the transition to acting include Oscar winner Jennifer Hudson and Fantasia Barrino...who's now on Broadway. That's all for now. Thanks for watching today's entertainment update. Enjoy your weekend.
