Awesome music but video requires more dynamic takes, cuts& transitions fits to the beat. Nice work anyway :)

what's an example of a more dynamic take?

Generally: dynamics determine global object movement - (actors, objects, camera) on frame with follow dependencies: 1 - more distance, less dynamics 2 - slow movement, less dynamics so if You want dynamic takes - try to use close up takes when object/actor or camera moving.

If You want to make dynamic takes in total plan - You can move camera faster. These takes are generally exists on this movie but something wrong with cuts&edit - it's look like are unsynced sometimes, some of them are like smooth animation (with hands) when I expect more abstract, flashed etc.

Have you read "The Visual Story: Seeing the Structure of Film, TV and New Media" by Bruce Block? It is an excellent book that talks in-depth on how to tell your story by using a contrast of different screen elements like perspective, shape, tone, color, movement and rhythm. As this book describes, there are many ways and combinations to call dynamics onto the screen. I'm sorry to be talking about the book 'Visual Story' so much, but it is incredible!

Sorry, I'm gonna talk about the book again. What Bruce suggests is that dynamics are not created through have fast movements or flashing color, BUT it is the contrast between Fast moving scenes and Slow moving scenes. Another example might be, cutting between scenes with bright saturated color, and scenes with muted color.

I don't think YOUTUBE is the best delivery platform for fast cutting video. I've got a cleaner link to the video here: kfenter[dot]com >go to the link that says 'WIIWTHTWI'.

So... looking back at this video, one method to create dynamic motion/story telling was by cutting between a variety of dissimilar compositions. Dynamics are created without much actual physical movement on screen, but it is create by using the movement that happens when a jump cut is made between extremely different scenes and perspectives.

Great video! It is very well edited and I like the odd material you used :) My favorite part was the glitchy part with the instructors hands.
