Turbo617 2008-04-09 00:06:24 Emissions. That is the ONLY reason MB routed it to the air filter. I run a straight road draft tube with no connection to the air filter or oil pan. __________________________________________________
musikpal 2008-04-08 23:59:16 Hi Turbo617, I just bought another 300sd 4 800$ to experiment with biodiesel So that I wouldn't ruin my low mile 300d if I screw up. But the blowby fume leak really bother me when I turn on the heater. I noticed that u have a different air filter. So did u just route the blowby directly to the oil pan? I always want to do that but wasn't sure cause I think there has to be a reason why MB designed to route it through the air filter area b4 returning to the pan. __________________________________________________
VWBusMan1 2008-03-26 15:49:54 Great idea. As I'm a little confused as to mix and matching parts, please tell me exactly what I should by for the conversion. Thanks much!!! __________________________________________________
huppypuppy 2008-03-20 21:11:50 Sounds better with the VW injectors as well! __________________________________________________
Turbo617 2008-02-06 03:30:59 Overall, it results in more top-end power, reduced smoke, lower emissions, quieter running and a more efficient engine. My economy went from 23.4mpg to 26.6mpg just from this injector modification. The old injectors were less than 20,000miles old and pressure matched my a local expert so I know they were not old enough to cause problems. __________________________________________________ |
