I chose these two terms because in a theory of physics, materialism is fundamental... but really, this theory of materialism is based on the will and sense expeirence, so to us, it is more fundamental. I think it's common to think will is secondary after creating a theory that explains will materially, but that misses the genesis of the theory of the material in the first place. __________________________________________________ | |

This, in my opinion, has to be understood in order to contextualize rightly. what's "REALLY HAPPENING" is that our minds are creating systems which are divisions of all sorts. In fact I'm not quite sure why you even chose those two terms. It seems like "mental" and "material" would be a more natural pair. Then you could also have the "volitional" and the "non volitional." But really its a hugely fundamental point that the "discriminating mind" is associated with "illusion" and the "realization of oneness" associated with awakening and truth. __________________________________________________ | |

This is a very basic point - schemas such as this are hierarchies of realness and are very suspect. I know philosphers get mad at this but the very definition of illusion in most transcendental systems is the perception of duality where none actually exists. __________________________________________________ | |
