Description: I removed the electronics and left the intact tube only. The tube was placed in a glass of water that captures the excess microwaves and that way, reduces the chance of magnetron being blown up. It also grabs the heat released from the tube that would otherwise increase the current inside, leading to meltdown (*evil*). This way, the tube can emit light much longer. I have no idea for how long. My record was 45 seconds. This was done using 700 W of power. |
